About Pedal 4 Prevention

In 2021, I received a stage 1 kidney cancer diagnosis. Thankfully, it was caught early, and my treatment was straightforward—a surgery from which I only needed to recover. I’m deeply grateful that my physical wellness remained intact throughout the process.

But my story is shaped profoundly by the experiences of my mother and grandmother. Both were diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, facing aggressive chemotherapy and radiation treatments that took a heavy toll on their bodies and spirits. Their physical health deteriorated rapidly, and despite their courageous fight, they passed away within a year.

Their battles revealed to me the harsh reality: late detection often means grueling treatment and limited time. Early detection dramatically improves survival rates—sometimes by as much as 90% for certain cancers. It’s a difference that saves lives, families, and futures.

Pedal4Prevention is my tribute to those warriors who fought bravely against cancer—whether they survived, are currently fighting, or passed on. It’s my mission to raise awareness that early detection matters because catching cancer early can mean the difference between life and death.

I’m riding my bike across America, stopping at 17 stadiums to host tailgate parties and bring communities together. Every mile I ride and every story I share is a call to action—one that inspires hope, educates, and supports early detection efforts nationwide.

This journey is about more than just me; it’s about all of us. Together, we can save countless lives through awareness, community, and the power of prevention.
